Born and raised in Arizona Cody Kopp began his comedy career at the young age of twelve. His mother, tired of him hanging around the house during the summer, forced him into taking an improv comedy class. She even lied about his age to be able to sign him up. Fortunately for her Cody fell in love with the idea of goofing off in front of people and it became a lifelong passion of his. Kopp excelled at improv and stand-up and eventually became the youngest member of Arizona's JesterZ Improv Troupe. He later attended Loyola Marymount University where he studied dramatic theater. He continued to grow as a comedian and eventually landed himself on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as a finalist in the Sierra Mist Comedy Competition as well as being the MVP of RoofTop Comedy's "National College Comedy Competition" which allowed him to perform at festivals including The Aspen Comedy Festival and Just For Laughs Chicago.
When he graduated he immediately began studying at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and that has been his home ever since. He can be seen performing with his several teams all over Los Angeles at The Clubhouse, iO West, Second City and UCB. Most recently his team Kanyay! West has been fortunate enough to tour around the country performing at festivals in Orange County, San Diego, Chicago, Sacramento, New York, Minneapolis, and Coachella.
